If you're reading this, you're likely in a place I found myself in not long ago. I was a caregiver for my father who was ill for many years and then, shortly after he passed away, my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It was heartbreaking and backbreaking caring for both my mother and father and many times I felt like I was drowning, trying to manage their care while watching them suffer in slow motion. It is my profound hope to be of service to patients and caregivers who need not drown in silence.

How I work
Death has long been held at arm's length but as doulas we hope to change that.
I strongly believe we need to normalize talking about death and grief. Those conversations can be difficult to start and to have but they don't need to be.
That's where I come in.
As a former news correspondent, my strengths lie in interviewing, in listening, and in carrying forward people's stories. I have spent my life bearing witness. Letting people know that they have been seen. That their lives mean something. And that they will not be forgotten.
Whether it's facilitating conversations with loved ones, holding hands and sitting quietly, or talking about the practicalities around the end of life, I aim to be a support for you and your circle of care.
The end of life doesn't have to be lonely. Or painful. Or scary. We made choices for how we live, we should be able to have autonomy over how we die.
