INELDA-certified end-of-life doula

I am an INELDA-certified death doula and a hospice volunteer with Sonder Hospice. I came to this work after losing my dad at twenty-one, which changed the direction of my life and eventually became the subject of my master's dissertation on how bereaved young adults find meaning and flourish after loss. Before this I worked in finance, and I know how quickly a family can go from managing to completely underwater. Most of what I do is practical: sitting vigil, keeping track of medications and paperwork, helping someone record their story, answering the phone at 2am. My faith is the ground I stand on, but I bring no doctrine into the room and welcome families of any background or none. What I promise is that you will not be doing this alone.
