Hello, my name is Jean and I have been an acute care physical therapist for 21 years. I am also wound care certified, and have my lymphedema certification. Becoming a doula was something that found me. I spent many years working with patients in an oncology setting and have physically and metaphotically walked patients and their families through the unknown. I advocate for honest conversations in healthcare. When a friend mentioned the doula role to me, I was drawn to learn more, as it seemed to be something I was informally doing my whole career.

How I work
Just as each soul is unique, so is the experience or visit with an individual and their family, and therefore I don't follow a set plan or protocol. As there is information that is beneficial to gather, I do ask some questions and put forth next steps based on the information received. I create a uniquely supportive environment for the dying individual and a plan based on their wishes, while also holding space for those they wish to be included in their journey.
What families say
“The most compassionately honest person in the room. A supportive pillar Thank you for supporting my husband and son”
