I am a longtime hospice volunteer and death doula trained through Waveny LifeCare, INELDA, and Willow EOL. I came to this work after sitting with my own grandparents at the end of their lives — it's where I first understood what it means to witness someone’s final chapter with them, and it's why I later trained formally. I work on legacy projects, sit as part of a family's care team, and help coordinate information so people can make clear decisions and plans. I truly believe that facing end-of-life conversations honestly is affirmation of our love of life and can bring so much peace to the process. As a doula, I want to make hard rooms feel less hard — not by fixing anything, just by being fully there.

How I work
Every family that calls me is in a different place, and I meet them there — no set script, no checklist you have to follow. Most reach out somewhere between exhausted and unsure what they even need, and the first conversation is usually just about naming it out loud — what's been left unsaid, what's causing worry, what feels too big to plan around.
From there we shape something practical. That might mean legacy planning and end-of-life arrangements worked out while there's still time, explaining the process so it feels less frightening, sitting vigil through the long nights, gently reminding someone of the healthcare wishes they laid out when they could still speak for themselves, or simply stepping in to tidy a room or give a caregiver some rest.
When family can't be there — because of distance, exhaustion, or their own grief — I can be the one who is. I strive to bring calm and balance to a challenging moment and often stay connected, helping families through grief and find their footing again. What I bring, always, is the belief that no one should face the end of a life, their own or someone else's, without someone beside them.
